Waney Edge Cladding
Waney edge cladding is a traditional style of cladding. The boards are sawn from the round of the tree and each board has one waney edge (with bark on) and one square edge. As seen on many traditional buildings the waney edge look is created by overlapping the boards. We recommend waney edge cladding for any projects where a rustic look is preferred. For example: barn conversions. When fitting the boards, they are laid with an overlap of around 30% and are laid to show the waney edge.
